Julie Rogers Theater, Neoclassical theater in Beaumont, United States

The Julie Rogers Theater occupies a neoclassical building on Pearl Street in downtown Beaumont, originally combining a city hall with an auditorium. Its auditorium holds about 1,663 seats, arranged as 1,253 in the orchestra, 144 in the loge and 266 in the balcony, with continental seating and no centre aisle.

The building was constructed in 1928 as Beaumont's City Hall and Auditorium. In 1982 it was renovated and converted into a performing arts theatre, and it was renovated again in 2007. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for Jefferson County, Texas.

The Julie Rogers Theater is home to the Symphony of Southeast Texas and hosts performances by the Beaumont Civic Opera, the Beaumont Civic Ballet and the Beaumont Ballet Theatre. These resident companies stage opera, ballet and orchestral concerts in the former city hall and auditorium on Pearl Street.

The theater is located near the Civic Center with parking available on the west side of Main Street. Wheelchair-accessible spaces are provided, and accessible entrances make it easy for visitors with mobility needs.

The building features a hydraulic orchestra pit that can be raised or lowered to adapt the stage for different productions. This mechanism allows the venue to transition smoothly between classical concerts and contemporary performances.
