Lutcher Theater is a six-story performing arts building in downtown Orange, Texas, with 870 seats on the main floor and 567 seats in the balcony. The stage measures 45 feet (14 meters) wide, 30 feet (9 meters) high, and 35 feet (11 meters) deep, while an adjustable orchestra pit can accommodate up to 1,450 guests.
The venue opened in February 1980 with a performance by Liberace and quickly became the largest performing arts series between Houston and New Orleans. This inaugural event launched the theater's role as a major cultural destination for the region.
