Pascagoula River High Rise Bridge, Road bridge in Pascagoula, United States.
The Pascagoula River High Rise Bridge crosses the East Branch of the Pascagoula River with eight traffic lanes linking Gautier and Pascagoula. The design allows ships to pass underneath while vehicles travel above without any interruption.
Construction of this bridge finished in June 2003, replacing an older four-lane drawbridge that had served the area. The new structure brought significant modernization to transportation infrastructure in the region.
The bridge opening ceremony included Senator Trent Lott and Highway Commissioner Wayne Brown taking the inaugural ride across the structure.
The bridge is open to vehicle traffic daily as part of U.S. Route 90. Traffic can be moderate to heavy, especially during peak hours, so plan your crossing accordingly.
Located at coordinates 30°22'20"N and 88°33'45"W, this structure receives regular maintenance from the Mississippi Department of Transportation under inventory number MS210009003006830.
