Fox Plaza, Office skyscraper in Century City, United States.
Fox Plaza is a 35-story office building rising approximately 493 feet (150 meters) at 2121 Avenue of the Stars in Century City. The exterior facade combines pink granite with gray tinted glass panels and follows the design principles of modern architecture.
Real estate developer Marvin Davis commissioned the tower on former studio land and completed construction in 1987. After leaving office, President Ronald Reagan established his workspace on the 34th floor and used it for his post-presidential activities.
The tower takes its name from the former 20th Century Fox Studios and became widely recognized through its appearance in the film Die Hard. Many visitors recognize the pink granite facade immediately and associate it with the famous 1980s movie scene.
The building houses corporate offices and offers a fitness center with a yoga room as well as outdoor workspaces with internet access. Several restaurants are located on the ground floor and lower levels, including a Californian restaurant called Pacific Kitchen.
The pink granite facade changes color depending on the time of day and weather conditions, appearing sometimes deep red and sometimes pastel pink. This color play makes the building easily recognizable in the Los Angeles skyline and distinguishes it from most other office towers in the city.
