Constellation Place, Modern office skyscraper in Century City, Los Angeles, United States.
Constellation Place is a 35-story modern office building in Century City with distinctive triangular glass corners and a curved glass facade. The structure rises 149.5 meters high and contains approximately 700,000 square feet of office space with open floor plans free of interior columns.
The building was completed in 2003 and was the first major high-rise project in 21st-century Los Angeles. It initially served as the headquarters for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, marking a turning point in Century City's modern development.
The building reflects its place in the heart of Century City, where film and media company offices concentrate. The open glass architecture allows views into interior spaces and creates a modern, transparent image for the companies working there.
Visiting is possible during business hours, but access to certain areas may be restricted since the building primarily houses private offices. Parking is available in the six-level parking structure located directly beneath the complex.
The building uses one of Los Angeles's largest rooftop solar panel systems on its parking structure to power about one-third of the complex's energy needs. This sustainable solution was remarkably forward-thinking when built in 2003 and makes it an early example of green technology in high-rise architecture.
