Beverly Hills Speedway, auto racing track (1919-1924)

Beverly Hills Speedway was a 1.25-mile (2.01 km) wooden board track for automobile racing in Beverly Hills, California, built in 1919 on 275 acres. Its oval had banked turns and a darker infield; a long, low grandstand with a light, segmented roof edge stood along the top straightaway. The site is bounded by Wilshire Boulevard, South Beverly Drive, Olympic Boulevard and Lasky Drive.

The track was demolished in 1924, so there is nothing left to walk around; the site is now occupied by the Beverly Wilshire hotel and surrounding blocks. The former circuit is bounded by Wilshire Boulevard, South Beverly Drive, Olympic Boulevard and Lasky Drive, just outside the Golden Triangle. Look for the hotel on the site of the north-west turn.
