The Century Plaza Hotel is a 19-story hotel on Avenue of the Stars in Century City, designed by Minoru Yamasaki with an arc-shaped plan and a curved facade. It opened in 1966 as the tallest building in Century City, with views reaching the Pacific Ocean. Its 2021 rebuilding left 400 guest rooms and 63 condominiums in the original tower.

The hotel's name comes from its role as the centrepiece of Century City, built on land bought from 20th Century Fox in 1961. Doormen wore red Beefeater costumes at the 1966 opening, and the Los Angeles Ballroom hosted the 1967 Emmy Awards and the 1970 and 1971 Grammy Awards. The curved facade appears in the 1980 film 9 to 5.
The hotel is located on Avenue of the Stars and underwent major renovation work completed in 2021. After being transformed into Fairmont Century Plaza, visitors can experience both modern facilities and restored historic spaces.
The building appeared on a national list of endangered historic places in 2009 and nearly faced demolition instead of preservation. This recognition sparked serious efforts to restore and protect it.
