Pérez Art Museum Miami, Modern art museum in Downtown Miami, United States.
The Pérez Art Museum Miami is an art museum for modern and contemporary art in Downtown Miami, Florida. The building rises over three floors with vertical gardens on the facade and opens through large glass panels toward Biscayne Bay.
The institution opened in 1984 as the Center for Fine Arts and first occupied a historic building in the cultural district. After moving to the new structure at Museum Park, it received its current name in 2013.
The name honors Jorge M. Pérez, a real estate developer and art collector who contributed a large share of the funding for the waterfront building. Visitors move through galleries that present works from across the American continent, including Caribbean and Latin American perspectives.
Admission runs until 21:00 on Thursday evenings, while the other days close at 18:00. Students who live in Miami-Dade County enter at no charge.
In 2023, PAMMTV launched as a digital channel for video art and time-based media. Works by local and international artists stream there, making the institution the first museum to run its own video service.
