Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, Steel roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando, United States
Pipeline: The Surf Coaster is a steel roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando spanning roughly 2,950 feet and reaching speeds up to 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour). The layout includes multiple inversions such as corkscrews and a wide horseshoe turn, with riders seated in specially designed vehicles.
SeaWorld Orlando opened this attraction in May 2023 as the park's fourth Bolliger & Mabillard coaster. It followed earlier installations of Mako, Manta, and Kraken, which were already operating on the grounds.
The ride incorporates surfing themes into its design, with specialized surfboard-shaped vehicles that move up and down to recreate wave-riding motions.
Riders must measure between 54 and 78 inches tall to participate, and the ride lasts approximately 1 minute and 50 seconds. Plan to arrive early in the morning or later in the day when wait times tend to be shorter.
The seats shift vertically during the ride, replicating the movements surfers experience on ocean waves. This mechanical adjustment adds an extra physical dimension to the track layout not found in other coasters.
