Ice Breaker, Steel roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando, US
Ice Breaker is a steel roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando that combines four separate launches moving forward and backward. The track extends for 1,900 feet (579 m) and reaches a speed of 52 miles per hour (84 km/h).
The park opened this sixth roller coaster in February 2022 after a two-year delay caused by the pandemic. Construction began in 2020 and continued through the closure period.
The queue displays elements of Arctic landscapes and teaches visitors about polar bears and their habitat. People walk through panels showing information about Earth's polar regions.
The coaster requires a minimum height of 54 inches (137 cm) for riders due to the four launches and steep descents. Boarding takes place at a ground-level station with over-the-shoulder restraints.
The track has the steepest vertical drop in Florida with a spike measuring 93 feet (28 m) tall. This spike tilts at 100 degrees beyond vertical and momentarily leaves riders hanging upside down.
