Wet 'n Wild Orlando was a water park on International Drive in Orlando that combined slides and attractions for families and adrenaline seekers. The facility spread across a large site with different zones for various age groups and preferences.
George Millay opened the park in 1977 as the first standalone water park in the US. The facility closed in 2016 after Universal Studios announced a new water park nearby.
The water park attracted millions of visitors annually until 1999, maintaining its position as the most frequented water park in the United States.
The water park sat directly on International Drive and was reachable via Orlando's main traffic arteries. Visitors could enter the facility year-round without interruption.
Der Stuka offered a free fall over six stories along 250 feet (76 meters) in nearly vertical slope. Bomb Bay released visitors through an opening floor hatch into the water and created a surprising start.
