Freedom Flyer, Family suspended roller coaster at Fun Spot America, Orlando, US
Freedom Flyer is a family suspended coaster at Fun Spot America where riders hang freely with legs dangling below while moving along a yellow track. The ride takes you through dips and turns supported by blue steel structures, creating the sensation of soaring through the air without walls around you.
The coaster opened in 2013 as part of a major expansion of the park when several new rides debuted at the same time. This growth period brought significant changes to the attraction lineup.
The design by Stefan Holtman incorporates elements that make the roller coaster experience accessible to multiple generations of family members riding together.
The ride is easy to access and short enough to enjoy multiple times in a row if lines are not busy. You will have the best time riding during daylight hours when the sun is bright and the park is less crowded.
Between 2017 and 2018, four seats on the Freedom Flyer offered passengers an additional virtual reality experience during their rides.
