Blue Man Group Sharp Aquos Theatre, Entertainment venue in Universal CityWalk Orlando, United States.
The Blue Man Group Sharp Aquos Theatre is a performance space at Universal CityWalk Orlando with 1,000 seats divided into five sections. The first four rows form a special zone where visitors receive rain ponchos.
The venue opened on June 1, 2007, following the transformation of the former Nickelodeon Studios. The space was completely redesigned to create a permanent home for the group at Universal Orlando Resort.
Three performers with blue-painted faces present numbers that combine drumming, digital projections, and lighting effects without ever speaking a single word. The show moves between music, comedy, and experimental effects that often involve the audience directly.
A direct walkway connects the building to Universal CityWalk, allowing guests to attend the show without purchasing theme park admission. The front rows offer more intense experiences with direct participation in the stage effects.
The performances use approximately 18,000 buckets of paint each year, which is thrown onto canvases, drums, and sometimes into the air during the show. In the poncho zone, special clothing protects spectators from paint splashes and other wet effects.
