Curious George Goes to Town, Water play area in Universal Studios Florida, United States.
Curious George Goes to Town was a water playground at Universal Studios Florida spread across two levels where children moved through different zones such as the Ball Factory and the Stay Dry Cleaners. Throughout the space, water spouts, pipes, and spray guns gave kids ways to splash and play.
The playground opened in 1998 on the grounds of a former movie set and became a go-to water destination for families visiting the park. In January 2023, Universal closed the site to modernize and reshape the area for future attractions.
The playground design incorporated elements from the original Curious George stories, featuring a man in the yellow hat and settings from the book series.
Visitors should wear swimwear and water shoes since the entire site is designed for getting wet. It helps to bring towels and dry clothes, especially if young children are along.
One standout feature was the Ball Factory section where children could shoot foam balls through pneumatic tubes. Additionally, sudden water dumps from rooftops gave kids unexpected splashes and surprises.
