Bently Nob Hill, Art Deco apartment building in Nob Hill, San Francisco, US

This residential building at Jones Street houses two units per floor across ten stories, with white oak floors and decorative fireplaces throughout its rooms. The exterior displays Spanish and Moorish architectural features that shape its appearance.

The building was designed by architect William E. Schirmer in 1924, blending stylistic elements from different traditions in its construction. The design emerged during a period of residential tower development in the Nob Hill neighborhood.

The water tower pavilion at the rooftop was inspired by Moroccan royal architecture, showing how international design ideas reached this San Francisco neighborhood. This blend of distant cultures shapes how the building looks and feels when you pass by.

The building sits at a high point in the neighborhood and offers expansive views over the city from above. Keep in mind this is a private residential building, so access is limited to viewing it from the street.

The water tower pavilion atop the structure is an uncommon architectural addition that brings moments of elegance to an everyday utility. Many who pass by notice this crown only when they deliberately look upward.
