Port Orford Heads State Park, Coastal state park in Port Orford, United States.
The park extends along elevated headlands with three walking paths providing views of Cape Blanco, the Pacific Ocean, and the Oregon coastline.
The Port Orford Lifeboat Station, constructed in 1934, served the Coast Guard for maritime rescue operations until 1970, connecting to the shore via 500 steps.
The Port Orford Lifeboat Station Museum presents maritime exhibits, including a 36-foot motor lifeboat and artifacts from coastal rescue operations.
The park opens daily for visitors who can access the museum from Wednesday through Monday between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM without admission fees.
During World War II, the station increased its personnel from 13 to over 100 Coast Guards to monitor enemy activities from the lookout tower.
