Solvang Vintage Motorcycle Museum

Solvang Vintage Motorcycle Museum displays around 95 motorcycles spanning different eras, including rare European race bikes from makers like AJS, BMW, Ducati, Gilera, and Vincent. The space is arranged with an open floor plan so you can view the machines without barriers.

The museum focuses on European race machines, featuring notable pieces like the 1929 AJS R10 with its 500-cc engine. These early bikes show how racing technology developed in Europe during the first half of the 20th century.

The collection reflects European motorcycle engineering from different manufacturers who refined racing machines across decades. You can see how the technical approach of brands like Vincent and Ducati differed from one another.

The museum holds a 1995 Britten V1000, one of only ten built by engineers from New Zealand. This rare machine represents an uncommon design approach outside the European tradition.
