Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, Slot car racing facility in Pahrump, United States
Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch is a motorsport facility in Pahrump, Nevada, offering more than 50 different track layouts on several miles of paved circuit for both professional and amateur drivers. The property also features a large clubhouse with swimming pools and a fitness area.
The facility was founded in 1998 by Canadian racer Rupert Bragg-Smith, who set it up as a performance driving training center from the start. In 2004, John Morris and Brad Rambo took over ownership and expanded what was already there.
The facility serves as the official training ground for Corvette and Cadillac V-Series owners who want to sharpen their driving skills on a real track. Visitors quickly notice that the place draws a tight-knit group of drivers who return regularly to practice together.
The facility sits on South Highway 160, west of Las Vegas, and is best reached by car. Booking ahead is a good idea since the venue runs both single-day driving experiences and longer training programs that can fill up quickly.
Alongside the circuit, the property has a freshwater lake, indoor racquetball courts, and a shooting range, which most visitors do not expect to find at a driving venue. This means a day here can easily extend well beyond time spent behind the wheel.
