Magna, Township in Salt Lake County, United States.
The residential community of Magna lies at an elevation of 1304 meters, extending from the Oquirrh Mountains to the Great Salt Lake.
Initially established as Pleasant Green in 1868, Magna transformed into an industrial center after Utah Copper Company constructed the Magna Mill in the early 1900s.
The Empress Theatre on Main Street represents the architectural heritage of Magna and maintains its status on the National Register of Historic Places since 1985.
The Utah Transit Authority provides regular bus services connecting Magna to surrounding areas, while major roadways ensure access to Salt Lake City.
On March 18, 2020, Magna gained attention as the epicenter of a 5.7 magnitude earthquake that affected the entire Wasatch Front region.
