Magna

Magna is a residential community in Salt Lake County that sits at an elevation of about 1,300 meters (4,265 feet) and stretches from the Oquirrh Mountains toward the Great Salt Lake. The area transitions from mountainous terrain to flatter zones near the water.

The settlement started as Pleasant Green in 1868 and became an industrial center after the Utah Copper Company built its mill here in the early 1900s. This factory complex shaped the community's growth and economy for many decades.
