Leaside Towers, Skyscraper in East York, Toronto, Canada.

Leaside Towers is a residential complex consisting of two identical 44-story buildings in Toronto's East York district. Each tower houses roughly 500 apartments and features mechanical systems designed for climate control and efficient building operations.

The towers were built in 1970 as part of Toronto's urban expansion and designed by architect Alexander Benedek. They represent the Brutalist style that was favored for residential housing projects during that era.

The twin towers shape the residential character of East York with their striking concrete design from the 1970s. Thousands of residents have called these buildings home over the decades, creating ongoing community life within the high-rises.

The location next to E.T. Seton Park provides green space and views of the Don Valley from the towers. Keep in mind that these are private residential buildings, so interior access is generally not available to visitors.

The two towers are built as perfect architectural mirrors of each other, an unusual choice for a residential complex of this scale. This symmetrical design makes them stand out as a distinctive landmark in the East York skyline.
