Atlantic Peak

Atlantic Peak is a mountain summit in the Wind River Range rising to 3,810 meters (12,495 feet) with steep cliffs and exposed rock faces along its slopes. The terrain toward the summit consists of difficult climbing sections that demand technical proficiency and constant awareness of foot and hand placement.

The first documented ascent took place in 1877 when climbers George Chittenden, Edward Clymer, Frederic Endlich, and Charles Howes reached the summit. This early expedition reflects the era of technical mountaineering exploration in the American West.
