Miramont Castle, Victorian mansion in Manitou Springs, United States
The castle spans four floors with over 30 rooms across 14,000 square feet, displaying nine architectural styles including Byzantine and Tudor designs.
Father Jean Baptist Francolon, a French Catholic priest, constructed this residence in 1895, incorporating architectural elements from his diplomatic travels.
The Manitou Springs Historical Society manages the castle as a museum, presenting exhibits of Victorian artifacts, firefighting equipment, and military memorabilia.
The castle welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM during off-season, with extended hours from 9 AM to 5 PM between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
An underground tunnel once connected the castle to Montcalme sanitarium, allowing Sisters of Mercy to deliver meals to tuberculosis patients.
