Catherine Creek State Park, State park in Union, Oregon, United States.
Catherine Creek State Park encompasses a secluded canyon setting with towering ponderosa pines, clear creek waters, and rolling foothills of the Blue Mountains in northeastern Oregon.
Originally known as Presbyterian Flat and later Collins Park, the land was deeded to Union County in 1932 by Portland lumberman E.S. Collins before transferring to state ownership in the 1950s.
The park serves as a gateway to exploring northeastern Oregon's natural heritage, connecting visitors to the region's pioneer history through nearby attractions like the Union County Museum and Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.
The park offers twenty primitive campsites with water access and flush toilets, operates from May 1 to October 14, and features two reservable picnic areas with horseshoe pits.
Despite recording only 17,376 day-use visitors and 3,640 overnight campers in 2023, the park provides an uncommercial wilderness experience with wildflower displays including Pacific ninebark and red columbine.
