Sawtooth Botanical Garden

Sawtooth Botanical Garden is a five-acre botanical garden in Ketchum that recreates the natural habitats of south-central Idaho. The property displays distinct ecosystem zones including sagebrush steppe, lava rock areas, alpine regions, mountain forests, and riparian corridors with native plantings throughout.

The garden was established in 1994 as a botanical education project in the Ketchum area. A spiritual component was added in 2005, introducing new elements that reflected the growing vision of the site.

The garden received a spiritual blessing in 2005 and now functions as a meditation space alongside its botanical mission. Visitors experience a blend of natural landscape and contemplative practice in this setting.

The garden is open from sunrise to sunset daily and accessible year-round throughout all seasons. Visitors should prepare for changing mountain weather and wear sturdy shoes suitable for varied terrain.

A large Tibetan prayer wheel continuously rotates through the power of a flowing stream at the garden's heart. The wheel contains written mantras from various spiritual traditions placed there by visitors and practitioners.
