Homer Pound House, Historical residence in Hailey, Idaho, US
The Homer Pound House features a one-and-a-half-story structure with shiplap siding and a preserved cast-iron fence surrounding the property.
Built between 1883 and 1884 by Horace Greeley Knapp, the house became the birthplace of poet Ezra Pound on October 30, 1885.
The residence served different purposes through time, including being home to journalist Roberta McKercher and later housing the Sun Valley Center for the Arts.
The National Register of Historic Places designation from December 28, 1978, protects the house from unauthorized modifications and demolition.
The cast-iron fence enclosing the property stands as one of the most intact examples of nineteenth-century metalwork in Idaho.
