Jasper National Park

The park covers 11,000 square kilometers of wilderness, featuring mountains, glaciers, forests, rivers, and lakes in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

The territory served as hunting and gathering grounds for Nakoda, Cree, Secwépemc, and Dane-zaa peoples, with archaeological evidence dating back to 8000 BCE.

The park incorporates knowledge from First Nations communities into its management practices, preserving traditional connections between indigenous peoples and the land.

Visitors need to purchase admission passes before entering the park, and numerous accommodations from camping sites to hotels are available throughout the five regions.

More than 50 mammal species inhabit the park, including black bears, elk, lynx, and mountain goats, making it a prime location for wildlife observation.
