St. Joseph Old Cathedral, Gothic Revival cathedral in downtown Oklahoma City, United States.
St. Joseph Old Cathedral is a Gothic Revival church building located in downtown Oklahoma City. The structure features a central tower topped with a tall spire and two shorter crenellated towers built from red Coffeyville brick.
The building was established as the seat of the Diocese of Oklahoma City-Tulsa from 1905 until 1931. It received recognition on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
The cathedral serves as a gathering place for people from different backgrounds who come together for worship and community events. Services in multiple languages show how the space welcomes a diverse group of visitors.
The cathedral is located downtown and is easily walkable from most central areas. Visitors can attend regular worship services or tour the interior during open hours.
Following the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, the building underwent major restoration work that repaired damaged stained glass windows and the pipe organ. This rebuilding became an important symbol of community recovery.
