Braniff Building, Office building in Oklahoma City, United States
The Braniff Building is a ten-story office structure in downtown Oklahoma City designed with Classical Revival features including large windows and ornate stonework across its facade. Located at 324 North Robinson Street, it displays the architectural craftsmanship of the early 1920s.
The building was completed in 1923 under architect Solomon Andrew Layton's design and first served as headquarters for Braniff Airways. It earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
The structure represents the early development of commercial aviation, serving as the first headquarters for Braniff Airlines during the expansion of air transportation.
The building stands on 324 North Robinson Street in downtown and is easy to locate near other historic sites and modern shops. Visitors can admire the exterior facade anytime, and the location offers a good chance to explore the city's architectural past.
After the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, the structure sat unused for decades until SandRidge Energy undertook a major restoration project. The renovation transformed it into a symbol of recovery and renewal in the city.
