Cox Business Center is a convention hall in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, made up of several interconnected halls and ballrooms spread across multiple floors. The facility is designed to handle events of many different sizes, from small meetings to very large trade shows.
The venue opened as the Tulsa Assembly Center and was later renamed the Maxwell Convention Center after former mayor James L. Maxwell. In February 2013, Cox Communications acquired the naming rights and called it the Cox Business Center; "Convention" was added in 2020. In 2025, Arvest Bank took over the naming rights and renamed it the Arvest Convention Center.
The Cox Business Center is the main gathering spot in Tulsa for conventions, trade shows, and large public events throughout the year. Visitors who pass through on a weekend often find local communities coming together here for everything from competitive sports to charity galas.
The center sits in the heart of downtown Tulsa, within walking distance of many hotels and restaurants in the surrounding blocks. If you are driving, several public parking garages are available close by.
The arena that once hosted Elvis Presley, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones was converted into a banquet hall in 2018. The $55 million renovation replaced it with the Grand Hall, 41,470 square feet with 38-foot ceilings, funded through Vision Tulsa, a 0.6% county sales tax increase.
