Möslalm, Mountain hut and hotel in Innsbruck, Austria
Möslalm is a mountain hut and small hotel located at 1,262 meters (4,140 feet) in the Karwendel range near Innsbruck. It accommodates up to 12 guests and sits at a junction of hiking trails that cross through the high alpine landscape.
This lodge represents the long tradition of alpine shelters built to serve mountaineers and travelers moving through the Tyrolean Alps. These structures emerged over time as practical stopping points for people crossing difficult high-altitude terrain.
The hut keeps alive traditional Tyrolean ways of making local dairy products like Almbutter and Graukas. Visitors can see how these handmade foods remain part of the mountain community's daily rhythm and identity.
The hut operates from late May through early October and can accommodate a maximum of 12 people. Meals are served until 18:00 and breakfast starts at 07:00, allowing guests to plan their hiking day around mealtimes.
Multiple hiking routes connect to this location, including a trail from Hafelekar through Mandltal and a longer route via Goetheweg to Pfeishütte. These connections make it a key junction point for those crossing the high mountain terrain.
