Jägerkarspitzen, Mountain summit in Tyrol, Austria
Jägerkarspitzen is a mountain massif in the Karwendel range with three limestone peaks, with the central summit reaching 2608 meters in elevation. The formation displays distinctive rock faces that shape the landscape as part of this major Alpine range.
The first documented ascent of the southern peak occurred in 1859, led by Count Hugo von Enzensberg and three companions. Alpinist Hermann von Barth later achieved a solo climb of the northern peak, and the ridge connecting to an adjacent summit bears his name.
The mountain summit contains a register book from 2005, replacing the previous one from 2004, while a historical register from 1913 remains accessible online.
The ascent through Gleirscher Riegelkar demands advanced alpinism skills and good preparation before attempting the climb. Plan for several hours from Gleirschtal and ensure stable weather conditions for a safe journey.
A summit register from 2005 records visitors who have reached the peak. A historical logbook from 1913 is preserved and made accessible online, showing the region's long mountaineering history.
