Garghabazar Caravanserai

Garghabazar Caravanserai is a rectangular stone structure in Fuzuli that once hosted trading caravans. The building features multiple rooms arranged along corridors with arched entrances, guard chambers, and large halls for animals.

The caravanserai was built in 1681 during a period when trade routes flourished through the region. Its construction marked an important moment for merchant travel and commerce passing through Karabakh.

The building shows features from the Albanian period with spaces thoughtfully arranged for merchants, guards, and animals. This layout allowed trading caravans to function smoothly during their stops here.

The site sits in open terrain and is easily accessible for visitors to explore. The setting provides clear views of the entire structure and its different sections.

The structure includes an advanced drainage system running through the animal halls. This feature shows that builders understood sophisticated engineering practices long ago.
