Tağlar Cave, Archaeological cave in Böyük Tağlar, Azerbaijan.
The cave extends 12 meters in length, features a width of 5 to 6 meters, and reaches a height of 2.5 meters at 1,640 meters elevation.
Archaeological excavations between 1963 and 1986 revealed more than 7,000 stone tools and 2,000 fossilized bones dating from 64,000 to 24,000 years ago.
The cave contains 74 distinct archaeological layers, including artifacts from Medieval, Bronze Age, and Eneolithic periods, demonstrating continuous human settlement patterns.
Visitors need to arrange transportation to reach the remote location on Delikli-Dash Mountain, approximately 3 kilometers east of Büzeyir village in Lerik Rayon.
Scientists identified remains of 15 different animal species within the cave, providing detailed information about prehistoric hunting practices and local fauna.
