Dschraberd, Medieval fortress in Martakert Province, Azerbaijan
The stone fortification stands on mountains west of Chileburt village, featuring defense walls and structures built according to medieval military architecture.
Prince Hasan Jalal I Dawla strengthened the fortress during the 13th century, transforming it into a central stronghold against advancing military forces.
The fortress served as a residence for the House of Hasan-Jalalyan rulers, incorporating elements of regional architectural traditions in its construction.
The fortress remains can be reached through a path starting from Chileburt village, with coordinates at 40.238611 latitude and 46.663333 longitude.
Archaeological studies reveal that Sahl Smbatean contributed to the fortress construction, implementing advanced engineering methods of the 9th century.
