Karmiravan Monastery

Karmiravan Monastery is a medieval stone structure located in the mountainous Martakert Province of Azerbaijan. The building sits at roughly 1200 meters elevation and displays traditional Armenian architectural features including a central dome and ornately carved decorations along its exterior walls.

The monastery was founded in 1224 by the House of Hasan-Jalalyan and served as a center for religious education during the medieval period. The site developed into an important place of manuscript production and maintained this function across several centuries.
