Parc d'Avroy, Urban park in Avroy district, Liège, Belgium.
Parc d'Avroy is an urban park in Liège with walking paths, benches, and the Trink-Hall, a Moorish-style building at its center. The green space covers several hectares and includes distinct areas for strolling and sitting.
The site was originally part of the Meuse River's main course until mid-19th century works redirected the river. This change to the riverbed made room for the public green space in the city center today.
The Trink-Hall has housed the MADmusée since 1992, displaying works by artists with disabilities in a dedicated creative space. This venue plays an active role in the city's art life and gives visibility to creators who might otherwise remain invisible.
The park has multiple access points along Boulevard d'Avroy with public transportation stops and parking areas nearby. You can reach it easily from different directions around the neighborhood.
The park holds an equestrian statue of Charlemagne alongside the National Resistance Monument and a memorial to Vietnamese boat people. These different monuments give the space a layered character shaped by different historical moments.
