Manastirishte

Manastirisjte is a mountain summit in Sofia City Province rising to about 1,338 meters (4,390 feet) above sea level. Views from the top stretch across forested slopes and the surrounding valleys of the region.

The summit was systematically mapped during Bulgaria's geographical surveys in the 20th century. Its position helped establish the region's mountain boundaries and structure.

Local residents maintain traditional mountain celebrations near Manastirisjte summit, marking seasonal changes and agricultural calendars throughout the year.

The summit can be reached via marked hiking trails, with the main path departing from the eastern side of the mountain. Proper hiking boots and plenty of water are recommended for the trek.

The summit forms part of a mountain chain where each peak, including Manastirisjte, creates a natural boundary between different microclimates of the region.
