Malak Rezen, Mountain summit in Vitosha District, Bulgaria.
Malak Rezen is a mountain summit in the Vitosha range near Sofia, located in the northeastern section of this popular outdoor destination. The peak sits at roughly 2.190 meters in elevation and connects several of the range's main climbing routes.
The name comes from Bulgarian and means Little Slice. This designation later inspired the naming of geographic features in distant regions.
The summit functions as a connecting point between three major peaks of Vitosha Mountain, creating a natural network for mountaineering activities.
A chairlift provides direct access to the summit area, making it reachable without extensive climbing experience. A mountain hut nearby offers shelter and serves as a base for exploring the surrounding peaks and trails.
The peak is one of nearly 60 numbered summits in the Vitosha range and offers views overlooking several ski slopes nearby. Its elevation and position make it a common waypoint for mountaineers moving between different climbing routes.
