YSL Residences, Residential skyscraper in downtown Toronto, Canada
YSL Residences is a residential tower in downtown Toronto that accommodates approximately 957 apartments across its 85 floors. The building features a distinctive sloping north elevation with recessed balconies, and preserves historic architectural elements from the street level on Yonge Street.
The project was originally proposed in 2017 as a 98-story structure and underwent review hearings in 2018 before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal. Concord Adex acquired and reshaped the development in 2021 for completion in 2027.
The building represents contemporary residential design in downtown Toronto while respecting the street's older architectural traditions through preserved heritage elements at ground level.
You can explore the surrounding area and view the building from different vantage points, particularly from Yonge Street and nearby public spaces. The proximity to subway access makes it easy to reach by public transit from elsewhere in the city.
Upon completion in 2027, this tower will rank as Canada's second-tallest building. Its sloped facade is an uncommon design choice that helps the structure stand out on Toronto's skyline.
