Gorges de Rosenlaui, Natural gorge in Reichenbach Valley, Switzerland
The Rosenlaui Gorge extends through limestone formations with rock walls reaching 80 meters high and features multiple waterfalls along its path point.
In 1902, workers used 9000 explosive charges and 180 packs of dynamite to create a 573-meter pathway through the rock formations of the gorge.
The gorge sits within the Jungfrau Aletsch Alpine Region, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its natural geological significance.
Visitors can access the gorge from June through September between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with entrance fees of 10 Swiss Francs for adults.
The water from Weissenbach River has carved natural stone sculptures within the gorge, including formations resembling cathedral ceilings and an elephant head.
