Yichun City, Administrative division in Heilongjiang Province, China

Yichun extends across 39,017 square kilometers of territory in northeast Heilongjiang, featuring the Lesser Khingan Mountains and dense forest coverage.

The region transformed from a minor town in Tangyuan County during the 1890s into a prefecture-level city by 1958, driven by lumber industry growth.

The population of 1.1 million people maintains strong connections to forestry traditions, with the city earning recognition as the Forest Capital of China.

Yichun Lindu Airport and railway station connect travelers to Harbin and other major cities throughout northeastern China.

The city maintains an 83 percent forest coverage rate and spans 246 kilometers along the Amur River border with Russia.
