Sunbeam Theatre, Opera house and theater in Eastern District, Hong Kong.

Sunbeam Theatre stands at 423 King's Road in North Point, its facade carrying a wide entrance canopy with the name in metal letters and illuminated panels above, including Chinese signage and a 2008 Olympic-rings panel. Inside, the stalls formed a 1,033-seat main auditorium and the former balcony a 108-seat upstairs cinema, later fitted with three screens using Barco Escape projection. The building closed on 3 March 2025.

Sunbeam Theatre opened on 16 September 1972 at 423 King's Road in Kiu Fai Mansion, on the former site of the Commercial Press Hong Kong printing works; flats had been planned there until 1965. It opened with a 1,709-seat hall, a revolving stage and dressing rooms, managed by Silver Entertainment as a Shuang Nan circuit house. In 1989 the balcony became a second cinema auditorium, and in 2012 Li Kui-ming renovated it as Sunbeam Theatre Grand Theatre. It closed on 3 March 2025 after Island ECC bought the building.

The theatre's name, Sunbeam, was kept when it reopened as Sunbeam Theatre Grand Theatre in 2012 under playwright Li Kui-ming. Its stage hosted the 1984 joint performance of Sun Ma Sze-tsang and Beijing opera actor Yuan Shihai in "Hua Rong Dao". In 2009 Time magazine's website ranked watching Cantonese opera at Sunbeam seventh among 25 Asian experiences visitors should not miss.

The venue features modern projection systems, professional lighting, and sound equipment for quality performances. Arriving early allows visitors to locate seating and explore the interior layout before shows begin.

In a 2009 Time magazine website poll, going to see Cantonese opera at the Sunbeam Theatre ranked seventh among 25 "Asian experiences a visitor should not miss". The theatre earned the name "Hong Kong's Grand Palace for Cantonese Opera" after the Chung Sun Sing Opera Troupe played 38 consecutive full houses there in 1993.
