Shaanxi Province Stadium

Shaanxi Province Stadium is a large sports venue in Xi'an with a concrete oval structure and eight grandstand sections that accommodate around 42,000 spectators. The facility includes an international exhibition center, ample parking areas, office spaces, and multipurpose fitness zones alongside the main field.

The facility opened in 1954 as the Northwest People's Stadium and was renamed to reflect its broader regional role. Major upgrades took place in 1996 and 2018 to meet contemporary standards for hosting national sporting events.

The venue serves as a national football team home ground since 2012, drawing local fans who gather to watch international matches throughout the year. It has become a focal point for sports enthusiasts across the city.

The venue is accessible by public transportation and provides extensive parking for those arriving by car. It is advisable to arrive early during events to locate your seating and navigate the grounds comfortably.

Four 49-meter-tall lighting towers were installed at the four corners in 1983, making it possible to host events in the evening with specialized illumination. These towers represent early adoption of advanced technology for sports facilities in the region.
