The museum opened in 1991 to preserve and present archaeological findings from the ancient capital of Chang'an and surrounding areas spanning multiple Chinese dynasties.
The exhibits present Bronze Age items, Tang Dynasty figurines, imperial court artifacts, and Buddhist sculptures that reflect the development of Chinese civilization.
Located at 91 Xiaozhai East Road, the museum requires advance reservations through WeChat and operates Tuesday through Sunday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
The collection includes rare items such as tri-colored glazed pottery camels, gilt bronze incense burners, and jade artifacts from royal tombs of ancient dynasties.
