Dragmarpo Ri

Dragmarpo Ri is a mountain summit located on the border between Nepal and China within the Langtang Himal range. The peak rises to approximately 6,578 meters and stands as part of this high-altitude massif.

Geographic surveys in the 20th century established the exact position of this peak as it sits along the border between Nepal and China. This mapping work defined it as a key reference point within the Himalayan system.

The mountain sits within territory inhabited by Tamang people, who have long practiced herding and maintain deep ties to these high-altitude lands.

Climbing attempts require permits from Nepalese authorities and significant mountaineering experience due to extreme elevation and unpredictable weather. Visitors should expect extended acclimatization periods and technically demanding sections.

The mountain remains unclimbed to this day, presenting mountaineers with steep faces and strong winds during summit approaches. This technical difficulty has made it a sought-after goal for seasoned alpinists.
