Yangra, Mountain peak in Ganesh Himal, Nepal
Yangra Kangri reaches an elevation of 7,422 meters, making it the highest summit in the Ganesh Himal range along the Nepal-Tibet border.
The first successful ascent occurred on October 24, 1955, when climbers Eric Guachet, Claude Kogan, and Raymond Lambert reached the summit from the Nepalese side.
The mountain belongs to the Ganesh Himal range, named after the Hindu deity Ganesha, reflecting the religious significance of the Himalayan peaks to local communities.
Access to Yangra Kangri requires permits from both Nepalese and Chinese authorities due to its location on the international border between Nepal and Tibet.
No successful ascents have been recorded since the initial 1955 climb, despite six different expeditions attempting to reach the summit through various routes.
