Binghu Cave, Show cave in Jinhua, China
Binghu Cave is a limestone cavern near Jinhua set at about 580 meters elevation, extending roughly 120 meters into the rock formation. It connects to the neighboring Shuanglong Cave via a stairway and features interior chambers with a waterfall.
The cave opened to the public in 1991, receiving its name from its resemblance to a traditional Chinese jade vessel. This naming reflects how the local community interpreted the shape of the formation.
Together with the neighboring Shuanglong Cave, this formation is known locally as one half of the Dragon's Ears, a pair that holds significance in how people understand the mountain's shape.
Access is via a stairway descending from the neighboring cave, making it logical to visit both sites together. The ground is wet and lighting inside is limited, so sturdy footwear and careful footing are important.
Inside the cave is a stalactite formation shaped like a Buddha hand dangling from the ceiling, a detail many visitors miss. This natural sculpture is one of the most interesting features visitors can discover while exploring.
