Citywalk, Hong Kong, building in Hong Kong
Citywalk is a large shopping center in Tsuen Wan with over 350 shops and restaurants spread across three floors. The central area, called Citywalk Piazza, features trees, water features, and a vertical garden that define the space.
The shopping center opened in December 2007 and was developed by two companies. It has since become one of the largest shopping centers in the area and remains a permanent fixture in the local retail landscape.
The name Citywalk reflects the idea of a place for walking and shopping together. Local residents visit regularly after work or on weekends to shop, meet friends, enjoy meals, and spend time in a relaxed social setting.
The center is easily accessible by MTR train to Tsuen Wan Station, followed by a 15-minute walk along a raised walkway. Alternatively, buses and mini-buses stop nearby, providing multiple transport options for visitors.
A distinctive feature is the iGlobe wall, covered with over 1300 LED discs that create a large pixelated sculpture effect on the building's exterior. This modern digital element gives the structure a futuristic visual impact that catches visitors' eyes.
