The Westpoint, Skyscraper in Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong.

The Westpoint (西港中心) is a 42-storey, 187.5-metre office tower at 160 Connaught Road West in Sai Ying Pun, designed by Ho & Partners Architects and completed in 1999. Its front entrance faces north, the south door opens onto the Des Voeux Road West tram tracks, and the lobby has an unusually high ceiling. A spherical structure crowns the roof, giving the building its landmark profile.

The Westpoint was developed by China Merchants Group and completed in 1999 as its intended headquarters. In the early 2000s it was sold to the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong SAR, which now occupies the whole tower.

The building is commonly called the Liaison Office building because it houses the central government's Hong Kong liaison office. Its roof ball holds a private club, and the top floor has a grand ballroom and the director's office. A beauty salon there employs barbers from mainland China.

The Westpoint occupies 160 Connaught Road West, with its front entrance facing north and a south door opening onto the Des Voeux Road West tram tracks. The building is the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government, its ground level heavily fortified and guarded, so it cannot be visited inside. Sai Ying Pun MTR station, near the Western Street exit, is the closest stop.

The spherical structure on the roof, the building's most recognisable feature, houses a private club rather than offices. The top floor holds the director's office, a clubhouse and a grand ballroom, and the building also has a beauty salon staffed by barbers from mainland China.
