Liberté, Residential complex in Lai Chi Kok, Hong Kong.
Liberté is a residential complex in Lai Chi Kok comprising seven towers of varying heights that house thousands of apartments across multiple floors. The development forms a dense neighborhood cluster that blends into the surrounding urban fabric of Hong Kong.
The project emerged in the early 2000s, reflecting Hong Kong's rapid expansion of residential space during that era. Its completion represented a significant phase in the development of the Lai Chi Kok neighborhood.
The architectural design by LWK & Partners and interior work by Steve Leung Designers combine modern urban living standards with Chinese residential traditions.
The residential area is well connected to public transportation and provides multiple levels of parking for residents. Visitors can explore the grounds easily as the towers are clearly structured and accessible throughout the site.
The towers follow traditional practices by omitting certain unlucky floor numbers that are avoided in Chinese culture. This design choice reflects local beliefs about fortunate numbers in the layout of the residential buildings.
